The last couple of months

May 2, 2013 by

What have I been up to ? I wish I could share some good and excited news with you all but the last couple of months have been pretty rough. Nothing major happened, just every time we tried to make a move, someone, somewhere shut us down. I don’t really want to go into details but what I’d like to share with you all is how I’ve been particular feeling this past month. I’ve been pretty unmotivated and depressed for a while, but after every little thing that fell apart this past month I’ve been the lowest I’ve ever been.

I don’t classify what I’m feeling as a depression, but It’s not far from it to be honest. I’m having a hard time sleeping, always super tired, always sick, barely able to get my butt to work, I cry all the time, really unmotivated to do what so ever, the list goes on and on and on. I don’t want to bore you with all this negativity but I am trying step by step to make things better. I haven’t found the magic solution yet but in the mean time I will try to blog, but I can’t guaranty anything because I have to take it taking it day by day. I hope you guys are doing great and I can’t wait to be in a better mindset to blog and share my life with you guys. <3

If you do feel like your in a similar situation, shoot me an email at info@mostlyfitness.com let’s talk ! I found it’s the best way to get better.

I’ve made these purchases and I’m loving them! I haven’t tried the Pink grapefruit mask yet but I’m completely in love with the Dead Sea Minerals mask. It’s only around 4 or 6 dollars, I don’t quite remember but It’s worth the couple bucks. Can we also talk about how the essie nail polishes are amazing?! I’ve had my nail done for a couple days now, and no chips ! Usually, after 2 days my nails are far gone.

We’ve also made a trip to Saskatoon to visit N8’s parents. I had some fun with my camera. I tried to photograph the puppies but having three dogs running around the house like crazy it’s definitely challenging.

We relaxed while drinking some vino. It was a short but great weekend.

After that weekend it was back to reality. This week was crazy, I’m so busy at work that when I come home the only I can do is sleep. I’m trying to up my energy but it’s not really working because I haven’t had a good nights sleep in almost three weeks. It’s driving me crazy ! Any suggestion on how to improve sleep quality ?

Soooo valentine’s day is coming up. What better way to prepare than a good ol’ workout ! lol

You all know I love working my abs ! but you have to make sure to balance your core. You can’t just do abdominal exercises and neglect your back. This workout will work every inch of your back :)

SEXY BACK WORKOUT

If you really want to get in tip top shape before V-Day I suggest the Tone it up 5 Day Slim Down. Check out their meal plan, it’s phenomenal ! Great recipes, easy to do, no calorie counting ! What not to love ?!

Any special plans for Valentine’s day ? ?

Have you ever tried the essie nail polishes ?

Smile for the camera!

Dec 30, 2012 by

Oh guys, how I have missed you and missed blogging ! Things were pretty hectic around here this month. Since my last update, we were scrambling to find a place since we had nowhere to live and only had 10 days to find an apartment. It was an adventure let me tell you.

After we found out we couldn’t move into the acreage, the property management told us they had plenty of property and would absolutely help us find a place. For a week, they wasted our time over and over again. I won’t go into details because I am so frustrated about the whole situation and how unprofessional they acted, but in the end I am very happy about our decision. Our landlord wasn’t aware of our situation so as soon as I told her she immediately offered for us to stay. So in the end we decided to stay exactly were we are. Way less stressful let me tell you.

After that was settled, we took a breath and enjoyed the holidays. I have two weeks off (I only went to work for one day) and it felt amazing to just relax, try to organize the house and spend time with N8 & little miss Callie. Of course, I wish I could of gone to see my family, but they’re enjoying themselves in Punta Cana (lucky ducks!).

Speaking of family, they gave me such a wonderful gift ! I am soo thankful for everything they do for me <3 They got me a Canon EOS Rebel T3i ! I have a LOT to learn about photography that’s for sure, but I’m loving everything about it so far!

Here are some practice shots – They’re actually all of N8’s shots lol, mine didn’t make the cut Smile with tongue out

Quick Update

Dec 14, 2012 by

Soo, remember when I told you guys we would be moving to an acreage ?

Well that’s not happening anymore.

Thank god we still have our current apartment for two weeks, but that also means we only have two weeks to find another apartment. On top of that, the housing market here is ridiculous ! If you want a “Normal” house/apartment expect to be paying 1300$ + per month plus utilities ! Crazyyy

Let me share this little anecdote –

Everything was ready to put in a U-haul truck and move. We had an appointment for a walk through this afternoon. We get there, we can’t open any doors. We initially thought the doors were frozen. After a big hard push, we heard what seemed like waterfalls. We get in the house, it was flooded ! There was even mold everywhere, the floor had shifted, the ceiling had fallen. C.R.A.Z.Y ! The beam in the basement had actually moved over ! The house could have fallen at any moment !

So yeah, we made the smart decision to not move in there. Even after the damages would be repaired.

After everything today, I stand by my moto – Everything happens for a reason !

We are disappointed, but we are happy it happened when we hadn’t moved in yet. So now we are scrambling to find something, so you might not hear from me in a little while. I will try to blog as much as I can but it might not happen.

They’re definitely worst things in life and I just can’t stop thinking about the school shooting in Connecticut and how my heart goes out to everyone involved <3. It’s truly heartbreaking.

Stay safe, and hope you guys are all doing great ! Talk soon <3

Holiday Reading List

Dec 5, 2012 by

Is it weird that one of my favorite activity is to grab a coffee, go to Chapters, and roam aimlessly into the numerous aisles ? No ? Great that’s what I thought. lol

It isn’t until this weekend I realized I might be a book hoarder. It took me two huge suitcases and four other boxes to pack all of these books. C.r.a.z.y !

photo (2)photo (3)

We also had to pack this little monster! lol We thought it was the most hilarious thing ever.

So since I’m a book hoarder (I’m also an e-book hoarder) I decided to share a couple books on my holiday reading list ! I don’t get lots of time off but hopefully I can squeeze in some quality time with my humongous book collection.

Wheat Belly Cookbook by William Davis

Notorious Nineteen by Janet Evanovich

The Black Box by Michael Connelly

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

I’m late on the Gone Girl bandwagon but I’m almost half way into this book and love it so far! I absolutely recommend it !

The casual Vacancy by J.K Rowling

It Starts with Food by Melissa Hartwig & Dallas Hartwig

Erin’s been reading this book and it looks awesome! I definitely want to read this ASAP.

WIAW #6

Nov 28, 2012 by

Yay for taking pictures of everything I ate today! I always seem to forget. That and for the past couple of weeks we seemed to be boycotting the grocery store because we had nothing to eat! We survived on random perishable items in our pantry. But this week I’ve been eating pretty healthy and creating new recipes!

wiaw fall into good habits button

Let’s get to it shall we –

Breakfast/Snack – 10h00 am

I only ate an apple this morning. I can’t eat breakfast anymore. I feel so nauseas in the morning it’s like I need a couple hours for my stomach to settle down. I absolutely hate skipping meals so I’m not too happy about not eating breakfast but oh well. Maybe I’ll find something that won’t make me nauseas. Any suggestions??

Lunch – 12h00 am

Steamed broccoli, honey garlic chicken and roasted potatoes!

One word – Delicious !!

photo

That filled me up so much that I didn’t eat an afternoon snack today.

Supper – 7h00 pm

I made a Cauliflower Soup with a Spinach Salad ! I don’t know why I’m surprised every time I cook something healthy and good but it’s like I forget how much healthy eating doesn’t have to take 20 hours and can taste really good !

I’m still a bit hungry so I might have a little snack before bed but we’ll see! Now I’m off to relax and watch X-Factor !! Who’s rooting for Tate Stevens and Carly Rose Sonenclar ?!? I sure am ! lol

P.S –> I’ll post these amazing recipes tomorrow ! Stay tuned Smile
